Hello gents!
SERS is looking for a few good engineers, dispatchers, admins and yardmasters!
Positions are available for all yards and times of the day. If you are interested in getting more involved, send me a PM and let's see what we can do. Right now I have an experienced two man crew that is on almost daily in the evenings Easter Time. Everything else is sporadic but there is a lot of opportunity here. The operation is well set up. There are a lot of thru trains which are auto-spawning from all parts of the route. Traffic is interesting for DS and engineer alike even if registry trains are not being spawned.
Yardwork is always available whether it be in Waycross, Duval IM Yard, Moncrief, Pecan, Sanford, Kaley or Taft. Most of the work is pretty self explanatory. All I like to see is a report made on the forum describing what was done by whom and when.
There are numerous Local jobs running out of each yard offering plenty of switching and road work. The instructions for nearly all the jobs are found thru links on the registry. Thanks to the generosity of Sean at RTS the links still work and open up in the RTS forum.
We run all the usual Amtrak for those passenger buffs out there. You can run all the AI opposing moves that are available to keep things interesting. These "Non-System" trains are easy to understand and direct to their destinations since the destination is included in the train ID visible on the F3 DS screen.
This system is built to move trains and everything is setup and ready to rock. All we need is a few good guys to make it work! I know you are out there because I see many people logging in to the forum to see what is going on daily. Well here is something going on and the more of you that get involved, the better it gets! NO BS! All we ask is a genuine effort be made to follow the registry, make proper entries, run as prototypical as you can, and to have fun.
So if you are interested in being a bigger part of this operation please contact me by PM and get set up. If there are reasons some of you do not want to be a part of operations here, please let me know the reasons and perhaps improvements could be made to make this server more interesting to serious CSX fans out there.
Thanks!
Tom
